When you're on the go, having the PetrolPrices app allows you to see the cheapest petrol near you, wherever you are.

To do a search, or if you're wondering what any of the buttons do, then follow the steps below.

Changing the search filters

When you first open the app, after you've logged in, it should look something like this, focused on a particular location.

Let's change that view to show diesel within 15 miles of the location. On the bottom of the screen, click on the three lines and dots in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Once that's opened, you should see a screen that looks like this:

Adjust the controls to whatever you want, this one has gone to diesel within 15 miles of the location.

Press ok, and it will take you back to the main map view.

The cheapest station will always be starred, or the nearest, if that's what you've chosen.

You can change the combinations to whatever you want, whether that's 5 miles and unleaded or 20, diesel and Shell only, we've got you covered.

Searching for a location

To get the map to pinpoint you to your exact location, use the 'Find Me' function for ease of access. In the top right of your screen, there are two functions, a search function and a find me function. The find me function uses your phones GPS to locate you (you'll need to have location services enabled.)

Click on the icon that looks like a target, and it will locate you instantly.

You can also do a search by postcode or area.

Click on the search icon in the top right, it's in the far corner.

Then input a place or postcode and press the search or enter button on your phone keyboard.

The screen will then take you the map area where you can view the stations for your chosen location.
